Enjoy.

Re: FSX Install error 1628

The problem is Mike that I did the update. If I had let Microsoft or really Catalyst do the update then the problem would only have been there for a short time. Anyway all is ok now. Incidentally Mike have you installed the first two items mentioned in my rather long post as these may fix the proble...

Re: FSX Install error 1628

Finally fixed. What a frustrating exercise which started with the installation of Prepar3d V2, although that was not the problem. When I installed Prepar3d I decided to down load the latest direct X11 drivers for my HD7850 video card. After this install Prepar3d worked fine but I started having prob...

Re: FSX Install error 1628

Sorry to hear that Bert, I am also having problems with FSX. I have re-loaded it about 10 times and have the same problems each time. Everything appears to load ok. Sometimes I have to load the Baron 58 and then select the aircraft I want to use. I only have the generic aircraft loaded, if I try to ...

Prepar3d V2

I thought it was time to start a thread in the technical area so a discussion could start on this newly released product. I installed the same version as Wayne. Straight out of the box excellent graphics and 20 fps, but then it was set to 20 fps anyway. I moved most of the sliders to max and still h...

Re: Has it been suggested or considered?

Mike, I am interested in #3, and willing to take it on. The checkride side has not been busy and usually my American friends pounce on them before I see them.

Re: World Flight 2013

Good writeup Theodore, make that up to 50 or 60 flights, and where possible they use the local ATC. I was manning approach for Edmonton and was on for a solid 8 hours. It was probably unusual but Edmonton Center, Approach and Tower (all regular controllers in the Edmonton FIR) were from Australia, m...

Re: The end of FSX is near

Sorry Sergio I can't at present as I had to rebuild my FSX, and while doing it I had to also remove Prepar3d. I wasn't running Prepar3d in full screen mode and I had the task bar at the top "ALT" and it just showed Academic Version in the task bar. I actually hadn't noticed it until it was...

Re: The end of FSX is near

I have the student version and until mentioned in this topic I had not noticed the watermark. I haven't used it much as it has a virtual cockpit only and I find it has slower frame rates than FSX. I am looking forward to their next generation as removing the graphics processing and putting it on the...

Re: Group Flight Timing.

I now understand Wayne. I usually look for them under the Forum page and that is where they are removed before the flight, I will look at the calendar in future.
Well I tried to send a text message today and it didn't work, we went to another TS3 server and it worked ok.

Group Flight Timing.

Is it possible to leave the group flights up until a day after the schedule flight? A couple of times now I have logged on to get the details of the flight only to find it has been removed more that one hour before the flight is due to start. I had someone join me on the flight today, luckily I had ...

Re: OCTOBER THEME FLIGHT

Here is another possible routing (from Real World Flightplan Database):
DVR L9 KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 BOMBI UL984 RASPU UZ660 ROKEM UZ650 BERVA UM748 TEGRI UL605 LAMIT UL5 TUSET
You can then use a DVR5 SID and a TUSET 4E (TUSE6E in Commander) STAR to rwy 8L or 8R.
