No VC or External Textures Showing

Maddog has that utility to display VC,if you are using that then make sure you are running it in administrator mode,also if the problem is within sim then also make sure to run the sim in administrator mode,hope this helps.Also for textures make sure you run the installer for textures as administrator.

I had this problem with my ATR and someone had suggested i turn off(uncheck in settings) the directx 10 as the textures were not dtx...it fixed it. I should say I don't have this problem with my Super80...but may be something to look into as that is the same exact problem I was having.

Go into your graphics setting in FSX and untick the Directx 10 preview option on the right column. What you are describing is exactly what as happening to me with the FSX ATR. Aside from making sure you have your airplane cfg file directing your textures to the right directory that is.
