Windows 7 / FSX Has Stopped Responding

For Win 7 FSX users. I had been having an increased frequency of "Microsoft Flight Simulator is not responding" errors. Found this forum post - http://realenvironmentxtreme.com/forum/index.php?topic=5311.0 which showed how to reproduce the error (and it did) and a solution which I tried and the previous behavior no longer causes the error. You will need access to a Vista 64 installation to get a file.

type this UIAutomationCore.DLL in the search and it will bring up a page with a download button. Download and save and upack.
Search your com puter files first to see if you have it. If so copy and paste it to the root FSX directory.
I did this last year and have not had a crash for FSX in quite a while from the problems described.
