Are you frame rates locked, or set to unlimited?

I used to get FSX lockup every 3rd or 4th flight. I changed it to unlimited FPS and it almost never happens now.

I also applied a few other fixes prior to that. It's possible the fixes work in combination, but it's something easy for you to try as a first step and see if there is any improvement.

My symptoms were that FSX would freeze, program totally unresponsive, Win7 cursor spinning if I put it over the FSX window, BUT, if I let it sit long enough, it always recovered. Usually 10 to 20 minutes, sometimes longer.

I had the same issue with FSX but mine would only lock for 5min or so. I don't remember what I did to resolve it. I was having two issues at the time - FSX locking for 5min. and my nVidia display driver crashing. Tried a number of different things to resolve it and documented the things I changed. I'll take a look at my journal to see if it has a solution.

I will put you on LOA. Your bid should stay in there.

Your flight information has been saved. We should be able to restore when you are ready.
