I know the title is weird. But I'm trying to remember a program that would allow you to resume your flight, after an FSX system crash, from the place your crash happened. It would periodically save your flight. Am I making this up, or does it exist. I feel I remember using something like this in the past. any one?

Rey, A couple of things will. Use the ; key on your keyboard once in a while and name the file. Also, FSUIPC has a save flight function where you set the time period when it saves. These will only save the flight parameters but not, in most instance, the panel state of the aircraft i.e. if it is flying or not.

Prepared3D will save flights with the panel states. FSX will be hard pressed depending upon the quality of the aircraft to do so.

Wayne,
Thanks for the response. I think it was FSUIPC function I was using. I need to maybe enable this. It's all slowly coming back to me.

Caution using this function, the FSUIPC one. If you do not set the timer for an extended amount of time or the number of saves, which it is set using minutes, example;900 sec for 15 minutes, the save function will start saving so much it will pause the flight each time and really become annoying, plus it builds up many, many saved flights.

Edit;
Another FSX save program

Just a caution with FSUIPC. I just upgraded to the latest version and it indicated, including the install log file created, that it installed correctly. However during my next GFI flight I had issues:
1. FSCommander couldn't connect to FSX
2. When switched the transponder from Standby to TA/RA it did not turnon Mode C with vPilot as it normally does.
3. And the major issue was FSX crashed 5min. after t/o.

Investigations revealed that I didn't get the FSUIPC selection in the ADD-ON menu item so FSX was not seeing FSUIPC. I resolved this by doing a reinstall which solved the problem. During the re-install I selected the "Just Enter Registration" option instead of the "Check Current Registration" option I used during the first install/update. Don't know if that was the primary issue but it all worked after the second install.
