AAV GFI KSAN to KPHX

Well as usual, I am flying alone on the GFI. At times with Ted.
Here are a few screenshots of the flight this last Monday. Some of it a tour de Southwest corner of the Continental US.
Leaving San Diego over Pt Loma. KSAN, North Island NAS, downtown and the bay area in view.
Sun setting over the Pacific Ocean.
Turning East with the North county in view toward Los Angeles 98 miles to the North.
You cannot see the houses, but this is where we, as named, live.
Following Interstate 8 it turns here to go into the desert at Jacumba. The Salton Sea in the background.
Overflying Yuma and the Shared airport at Yuma. MCAS and KNYL.
The FAA changed the "Location Identifier" of Yuma International Airport to NYL from YUM effective June 5, 2008.
Along the Interstate 10 approaching KPHX
After landing and turning off the runway. I used it all as I was a little fast on touchdown. I failed the checkride rate.
Taxiing to the gate.
Here it feels like I am on the freeway with the traffic.
Thanks for looking.
Remember your all invited to the GFI. Check the calendars regularly.
