Regarding cores, it's obvious when I look at the Performance tab on the Task Manager that neither FS9 nor FSX take advantage of the multiple cores. One core is pegged at 100%, the other 3 or 7 (depending on machine) are near zero.

grab the RAM while you can. Prices are expected to rise following the flooding in this past month where they are produced. Supply is expected to diminish soon.
