SimACARS and the flight sims

Greetings. I was testing the SIMACARS this AM using P3dV5 and MSFS2020. I was able to log on and file FREP's using both sims. I have the relevant FSUIPC loaded on both sims, so, I assume you need it.

Here is a little tip I learned;

When switching from the flight SIM to SIMACARS the focus of the computer is not current . You need to click on the items window to activate the lost computer focus, if you try to click on the functions in the SIMACARS without doing so, they will not activate. It takes a few moments for the connection to "come alive" to be able to use the check boxes. Don't be in a hurry to do things, just a few moments time.

I left the times in P3D as default and the times filed were correct for the FREP. In MSFS I cannot yet get the times correctly filed, probably due to my not knowing the SIM well enough to set them.

This will take a little getting used to.

It is now later; I just tested our AAV recorder with MSFS2020; It WORKED ! One needs the FSUIPC 7 to connect with MSFS2020. All the instructions and download are from this page;
