Terry, your more than "lowly regional pilot". You one of the reasons I have a job here at AAV as DFWT HUB manager.
Being one of the "much older" pilots here. What is a stream? Jet stream/contrail ? Water stream ? Expand a little more for those of us whom are hard of hearing and nearly blind.
Thanks
Well now that is pretty neat, of course your were not on line when I looked. We used to have a media office which would handle items like you proposed, he is gone now. Excellent idea for an advertising plug. Gotta make sure people see the right AAL VA as we are the .com guys and not the .net .
Saw the last part of your stream (approach into KCLT) and I think it's a great idea for getting new members in AAV. There was good interest and a number of good questions from people watching.
As I mentioned in my msg. to you online, -111 is a great landing and don't worry about the "float," it happens to all of us at one point or another. It's a consequence of trying to grease the landing. It's all about the numbers - weight, approach speed, etc.
Flying the CRJ and ERJ really make you appreciate an autothrottle system when you have one. Amazing how lack of an autothrottle multiplies your workload in the cockpit - then add in flying on VatSim and the workload of communicating with ATC. And the change about a year ago where ATC tells you to "climb via SID" or "descend via STAR" adds additional workload managing speeds/altitude, too.
You really learn to appreciate why there are 2 pilots in the cockpit!
